A current elected member of Albert-Eden Local Board, and a fresh, honest face for Whau; I’m eager to bring my hard-won experience in good governance to my home turf. We need urgent action in climate protection, housing affordability, and revitalizing town centers.
I’m an Avondale resident, and spend a lot of time locally while self-building an eco-home with my partner. You’ve probably seen me biking about on my lime green ebike. Having put down these roots, I’m committed to putting my heart and soul into improvement of the neighbourhood long-term. I’m aware of what affect both density and climate change could have on our community, so I’m always planning ahead for a resilient future. Collecting our own rain water, and replanting native trees nurtured from seed, in a house on a small footprint, is my way of contributing to urban regeneration done right.
My priorities include better public transport, safer neighbourhoods, and preserving the unique character of our suburbs while making them open, welcoming, and accessible for everyone. I care about sustainable management and guardianship-kaitiakitanga of our waterways, reserves, and parks for our wards next generation. I’m already well connected in Auckland Council and able to get to the right people at the right time.
Among other achievements, I’m a certified project manager with over a decade working beside executives in public and private sectors, I know how to get things done and what’s achievable. Please check out my work history and mahi on any of the links below, I’d love help in any form during the campaign, so don’t be shy about getting in touch.
